By doing so you will avoid easy entry of crawling pests finding ways into your home all while our pest control is reducing pest life and life cycles out there. Concentrate on interior and exterior:

*Remove sources of food, water, and shelter.

*Store food in sealed plastic or glass containers. Garbage containing food scraps should be placed in tightly covered trash cans. Remove garbage regularly from your home.

*Fix leaky plumbing and don’t let water accumulate anywhere in the home indoors and outside. Don’t let water collect in trays under your house plants or refrigerator.

*Don’t leave pet food and water out overnight.

*Keep property weed-free and clutter-free. Weeds keep pests hiding in overgrown grass, shrubs, and trees close to your home.

*Clutter provides places for pests to breed and hide and makes it hard to get rid of them. And for pests to come in contact with pest products targeted on your property. Get rid of things like stacks of newspapers, magazines, or cardboard.

*Indoors and exteriors- personal items against exterior walls. These items become areas any pest control service cannot treat due to the risk of over-spray on personal items which may be in the way. Our pest control is generous, and sprayed up and out against the home and block wall surfaces as part of the cross-over residual.

*Periodically inspect entry points for light coming in from the sides, top, or bottom. These areas can be easy entry points for scorpions and other pests. Scorpion King Exterminating inspects these areas during the first initial service and recommends replacing weather stripping or using some type of door gap enclosure to reduce pests, such as scorpions, rats, or mice from entering easily. Doggy Doors! Ensure you have the divider closed at dusk, as this is when scorpions become most active. Make sure doggy doors have no gaps around the interior or exterior. If there are any, a little clear caulking will seal the gaps around the doggy door. Close off places where pests can enter and hide. For example, caulk cracks and crevices around cabinets or baseboards. Use foam or steel wool to fill spaces around pipes. Cover any holes with wire or mesh, or ask us about our Home Pest Seal Services.

*Learn about the pests you have and options to control them. Scorpion King Exterminating can help you with all your questions as we are Entomology Certified within our company. We have accurate information on all pests and their behaviors.

* Always check for pests in packages or boxes before carrying them into your home from stores or from your attic or garage.
